I was surprised to discover a wonderful supplement for homeschooling through a Help Teaching Pro subscription from HelpTeaching.com. How did I miss this hidden gem?!! I’ve been teaching for several years and reviewing it was such a pleasure!
This Help Teaching Pro Online review is based on my own experience for older kids in upper elementary and middle school ages.
HELP TEACHING PRO
What is a Help Teaching Pro subscription? It’s an online resource with access to thousands of printable worksheets, tests, activities, lessons, and games. You have the ability to print worksheets, tests and ‘make your own’ tests. Plus, you can tailor it to send a direct link to your student with instant online access. Saves on paper (and money!). These materials cover Pre-K through Grade 12. There’s something for every subject and every age!
A great feature is that you can search by Grade or Subject. In addition to your typical subjects, you can find miscellaneous subjects such as life skills, art and music, study skills, graphic organization, religions, vocational education, and extra help with reading strategies. Plus, check out some of their tutorials if you get stuck on how to best apply these resources.
APPLICATION
First of all, in my experience, the website was designed well and extremely user-friendly. The online functionality ran smoothly and quickly. All of these key elements made it so much fun creating my own tests and printing out worksheets. No stalling, errors, or confusion. Flawless.
Initially, my main goal was to use it for their Daily Grammar Worksheets. These worksheets satisfied my expectations and made sense. Since I found it so easy to use, I thought — what else could I unlock? I went back to research more than just Language Arts. So, I started making pre-made quizzes for life skills. That was fun — what’s next?!!
A few days later, my son was struggling with some math concepts and was getting frustrated. Ahh….a light bulb went off and relief finally set in. Help Teaching Pro can help me!!
I quickly ran to my computer and found math worksheets searching by grade, subject, and concept. So, we worked on it together. We both thought the number of questions was reasonable and not too difficult. Another score for mom!
I am so thankful for this new resource as I can it use for anything imaginable. Another plus — if a particular worksheet or quiz isn’t available, I can make it myself. And, it’s much more smooth to navigate through than Google Forms! Bye bye Google forms.
